B&B Italia has the pleasure of announcing its collaboration with Hermès as a privileged partner in the research, development and manufacturing of contemporary pieces of furniture designed by Antonio Citterio and Enzo Mari under the artistic direction of Pierre-Alexis Dumas.

The collaboration between the two companies began successfully with the reissue of the Jean-Michel Frank collection, presented last November; B&B Italia and Hermès combined their mutual skills to identify the materials and techniques used in the original models from the 20’s and in the analytical study necessary for a faithful reproduction of the items.

For the new contemporary pieces of furniture, which will be presented during 2011 Milan Design Week, B&B Italia’s role was to optimize product development, elaborate prototypes and manage the entire production process, facilitated by a constructive dialogue with Hermès.

B&B Italia is proud to share the expertise of its Research & Development Centre with the Hermès house.

Available from next autumn, the Hermès contemporary collections will be sold exclusively at a selection of Hermès stores.
